one of the most fun toys I haver ever played with
this toy is soooo cool! the gun is automatic so its like the Vulcan (automatic nerf gun heavy) but this Nerf gun is much more light weight so it is more fun to play with. it also comes with the special features like the sheild (the part that makes the nerf gun that much cooler) and the the pop out stand! I think this nerf gun rocks! (its the coolest nerf gun so I recomend it with five stars :2010-09-18 16:44:55

Nerf Does It Again
My son is a Nerf Junkie with dozens of guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his arsenal. The Stampede is innovative functional and fun. The fore end grip converts to a bipod just like Ive seen on the M-4 rifles used by the Armed Forces. The rate of fire is about the same as the Vulcan and the unit is powered by 6 D Cell batteries. The range is about the same as the Long Shot but the accuracy isnt exceptional. The 18-round magazines (you get 3 of them plus a 6 round) give you a good amount of firepower but they do extend down a bit too much for my sons tastes. The front shield piece is a great addition since it has a cross-hatched window that you can look through. This unit was easy to assemble and has worked flawlessly so far. This package also contained 60 darts that are commonly used in other Nerf guns. In general our experience has been that Nerf guns are more durable and of higher quality than the bargain brands and the Stampede looks to be no exception. Lots of f :2010-09-18 16:44:55

Full Auto NERF Blaster
A nice addition to the NERF N-Strike line of blasters the Stampede is the second full-auto NERF blaster. I picked up two of these for my son and I to play with and the blasters were a big hit at a Labor Day BBQ. The price may be steep but the Stampede does come with a bunch of nice extras. The other N-Strike auto-blaster is the Vulcan a belt fed blaster that fires 25 darts at 3 darts per second depending on battery life. There were many complaints about jams and weight with this blaster. The Stampede is a nice upgrade. Using the NERF clip system you have a choice of 6 18 or 35 round clips to choose from (only the 6 round clips are available separately) you can lay down a nice suppressing fire of darts while being able to reload quickly.

The good:

-Aesthetics this blaster just looks cool and I am sure some will mod this blaster to look like a Halo pulse rifle.

-Shield I wasnt to keen on this feature until playing in a shoot out. This shield offers amazing :2010-09-18 16:44:55

Nerf Stampede College Review
The Nerf Stampede is an incredible blaster. Its not nearly as prohibitively large or unwieldy as the Vulcan and its much more fun in competitive Nerf matches as it is more mobile. First the Pros and Cons.

Pros:

-Fully automatic

-Compatible with all magazines from other blasters

-Handy bipod

-Comes with plenty of darts and the new 18 round stick magazines.

-Rapid fire compatible with all rail accessories with plenty of room for them.

Cons:

-Heavy

-Noisy

-Eats batteries

-Inaccurate

-Tendency to jam with the 35-dart drum.

The accessories that come with the gun are a mixed bag. The bipod/foregrip is useful because having a solid handle on the front is needed to balance the weight though Ive found that using a bipod with this thing is worthless as its so inaccurate that you have no reason to stabilize it.

The shield is merely aesthetic. Its flimsy obscures your vision weights the gun in a weird :2010-09-18 16:44:55

Best One Yet
This is the best NERF gun yet and is extremely fun. I used it on my paintball course with a bunch of other kids and i accidentally dropped it for an elevated tower (about six feet of of the ground) and it still works perfectly. I modified it by connecting a 9.6 volt R.C. battery pack to if and now it is much lighter and has a much faster rate of fire. The blast shield works great deflecting enemy fire. The pop out bipod works great for added stability and doubles as a fore grip. I give this gun five stars for fun and durability.
