Great for the bath tub 
This toy rocks. It has a real working fully water proof motor. All the pieces are mix n match so it has lots of possibilites.
The Octopus or squid or whatever it is has suction cups to stick to walls, squirts water and can wrap it tentacles around the little diver to hold him. Really cool :2011-12-19 23:32:06
Squid fun in the tub
My 6-year-old just loves ocean-themed toys, especially when a squid is involved. He plays with the squid which looks more like an octopus to me daily in the tub. He combines it with the sharks and divers that were packaged with other sets in this series. The arms of the squid come on and off easily. Seems great so far
Bearing in mind I haven taken it out of the box its a gift, this toy looks awesome!
Its a big enough size to be really fun without taking up the whole tub. The plastic seems quite durable, too. The squid is super-cool. And the pieces are configurable--a kids dream. I just can wait to see this my son playing with this! :2011-12-19 23:31:28
Highly Configurable, Fun Toy
My 3-year-old daughter has great fun in the bath with the squid sub. Its modular nature means you can integrate the sub with the squid and vice versa. The little electric motor adds a lot of fun. I suggest keeping it together in a little plastic box to prevent losing all the parts. :2011-12-19 23:31:14
Sons favorite bath toy
Gave the squid sub and the shark boat set that can go with this and my son loves it. From day one it has been with him at bath time and he loves pull it apart and making numerous different combinations of toys. The squids legs even come off and he put them on the shark, he just thought that was the coolest thing. I would recommend this product. :2011-12-19 23:30:59
great bath tub toy
My son loves this submarine! He plays with it in the pool, in the tub and in the lake. He loves it so much he insisted we get it for his friend. Who also plays with it all the time in the tub and pool. You can make almost 10 different kinds of water toys out of this one sub! My son loves to get creative. Lots of fun for my son. Great product
My 5-year old now has 3 different Matchbox Mega Rig sets - the Shark Ship, the Space Shuttle, and the Squid Sub. He loves them! He really enjoys making new vehicles by interchanging the pieces.
Once in a while, he even takes these toys into the bath tub. They hold up well in the water. When we dry them, we separate all the pieces and lay them out on a towel.
We keep all 3 systems in one 12x12 bin so that he can put them away even if all vehicles are apart and in pieces.
We also cut out the backs of the boxes with the fold-over flaps still attached and kept them so that we can see pictures of ideas for different ways of constructing vehicles :2011-12-19 23:30:33
Giant Squid Sub
My 5 year old grandson saw this giant squid sub on TV and asked for it for months before Christmas. We couldnt find it in the stores so I ordered it off Amazon. The service and response was great and we had it in a few days. Little Triston was elated to open his package and couldnt wait to get in the bath to play with it. He enjoys it every day now. It was a great value but the smile on my grandsons face was worth far more than the cost of the toy :2011-12-19 23:30:16
So Much Toy for Such A Great Price
I think this submarine toy deserves an award! Comes with a squid which is a squirty toy whos legs can be taken apart and the legs also have suction cup on each so it will stick on the sides of the tub. Then youve got the submarine with a little figurine that you can put into different compartments. The sub can be assembled in many different ways and the motor is great. Does the job but isn powerful enough to do any damage if a little finger stops the propeller. It can also be assembled to be a hoover craft with the big propeller attaching to the motor and making the big one spin. The design of the toy is amazing. My 3 year old son received it as a gift and we had to buy one for my 7 year old son because the two were fighting over it all the time. We also bought the expensive big shark adventure toy too but this little one really packs a lot into a pretty inexpensive toy. My only wish is that there were more small water matchbox rigs toys like this one - maybe a small pirate ship and more figurines that came with the toy. Anyway, I buy this toy for my kids friends birthdays because its so fantastic :2011-12-19 23:30:03
Best summer toy
This boat was my best toy purchase this summer. My boys were the hit of the pool and the large moveable components allow you to change the boat into many different configurations. The motor does work and does spin the propeller when connected properly which the directions do not show you how to do, takes a little ingenuity.
